Sustainability
OUR PEOPLE AND COMMUNITY ARE FUNDAMENTAL TO GSC's SUCCESS
Our People
Our goal is to attract, retain and inspire our people to make a positive impact and maximise their potential. We aim to develop, promote and foster a high performance team-based work culture where inclusiveness and diversity are valued and respected.
Community
Respect for the communities in which we operate is a core value for the company and all our employees and associates. GSC believes that fostering and maintaining cultural understanding and mutual respect for our communities is key to building healthy sustainable relationships with all our stakeholders. In seeking to achieve this we will;
- Be guided by our company values to act with integrity at all times both within the workplace and within the community more broadly
- Communicate transparently and honestly with all stakeholders
- Seek to deliver the highest standards of cultural awareness including protection of cultural heritage and values
Recognise that all our people come from diverse backgrounds and have an equal right to participate in our company culture and to enrich our working environment
Environment
GSC aims to adopt a values-based approach to sustainability with the goal of delivering governance, social and environmental practices that ultimately generate sustained value for all our shareholders and stakeholders alike.
GSC commits to rigorous standards and policies to ensure responsible environmental practices are followed at all our projects and operations. To achieve this goal GSC commits to;
- Design, adopt and implement best practice standards and policies that meet regulatory environmental requirements and community expectations
- Commit to achieving excellence in environmental management with the aim of minimising the impact of our operations on the environment
- Promote the message of positive environmental awareness through education of employees and the communities in which we operate
- Regularly monitor and review our environmental practices and performance
